On December 13, 2014, the "KOURITES" Folklore Society was honored by the ASSOCIATION OF THE SFAKIANS. The event was followed by the proposal of their President Sifis Manousogiannakis for their great contribution to the tradition of Crete, especially in Sfakia, which is also the President of KOURITES' place of origin.
